February 2012 Glymm Box - Overview

Yes, I know this Overview (and a slight review) is late, but I thought I would post it anyway!

After a bit of a mis-step start with Glymm (they never shipped me my January box even though it was paid for), I was put on the regular subscription programme and lo and behold, here appeared my February box!

It's pink...And I love it. Shipped in a pink outside box, the Glymm box is all shiny and fun looking.

Opening the box
What's inside here I wonder?

Inside the box is a lovely wrapped package with signature Glymm ribbon (I have many uses for ribbon so this will not go astray.

Note:  The Glymm lady, while her makeup is quite well done, does look a little... concave.

Product Descriptions
Exclusive offer for Glam Glow from Glymm

Flipping the card over (pic above) gives us a list of the items enclosed, a short description and their prices of the full sized versions.  Looks professional to me and no spelling mistakes (I look for this as a quality control thing - weird I know).

 There was also a card with an exclusive offer for Glam Glow, the masque sample included in this months box.  More on that later.

Well hello sample treats!

After pulling back the tissue paper, this is what I was presented.

Mai Couture Bronzer Blotting Paper sample
Sula Cream Eyeshadow (full size)
Glam Glow Masque sample
Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm (Full Size)
Blot to Bronze by Mai Couture

Blot & Bronze by Mai Couture is a combination of a blotting paper with a bronzing agent.  I actually used it today and gently rubbed it against the areas of my face which I would typically use regular bronzer.  It gave a slight iridescent sheen to my skin with slight bronzing.  I liked it very much!

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

Colour = Tiger Lily

Ahhh.  Burt's Bees.  My go to product when my lips need some TLC.  This particular formulation I have not tried before.  Apparently it is an award winner.  The colour I received is a lovely peachy Tiger Lily.   And it is a full size product.

Sula Natural Creme Shadow

Colour = He Loves Me

 Sula Creme Eyeshadow in He Loves Me.  Full Size and is a really delicate pink with plenty of shimmer.  I applied it a couple of times and wore it throughout the day.  My piece of advice is to wear a primer under it as it does have a tendency to crease on my eyelids.  While it does have sparklies, it is more of a shimmer as opposed to big chunks of glittery what not!
Just a lovely sheer pink colour

Glam Glow Exfoliating Mask

Glam Glow Exfoliating Mask (or Masque as I like to refer to it).  I am happy I received this as my face has been looking like a dried out, flaky catchers mitt for a while.  I have used it twice and while it was a little funky going on and while it was working, I have been very happy with the results!
A better review of this product in another post. I am planning on purchasing a full size of this and will give the results after consistent use for a period of time.

So my overall thoughts of my first official (and complete) Glymm box is on the whole very positive.  Four products I have never used previously and ultimately all made me happy.  The only shortcoming was the Sula eye shadow in that I would have enjoyed a more vibrant purple colour to go with my green eyes but hey, I can make the pink work.

Looking forward to my March offering from Glymm!
